Taylor Swift dethrones Rihanna with shocking net worth, sketches history to become world's richest female artist

Taylor Swift has surpassed Rihanna as the world's richest female musical artist.

Forbes said Monday that the Grammy-winning artist, 34, has a net worth of $1.6 billion, which is higher than Rihanna's reported net worth of $1.4 billion.

Swift, who was certified a millionaire earlier this year, surpassed the Umbrella diva in terms of earnings from her massively successful Eras tour, according to the site.

According to Forbes, the Fortnight artist has a real estate portfolio worth over $125 million and became a billionaire purely via her musical pursuits, royalties, and concerts.

Rihanna, who runs the enormously successful Fenty cosmetics and lingerie line, formerly had a net worth of $1.7 billion, TMZ reported.

Swift began releasing updated versions of her first six albums three years ago, following a business fight with music magnate Scooter Braun over her library.

The results have been extremely successful, with the Eras Tour generating such high demand that the United States Congress began inquiring about Ticketmaster's strategy for concert ticket sales.

The I Can Do It with a Broken Heart singer returned to Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the New Orleans Saints after missing the previous two road games.

Swift is nearing the end of her record-breaking Eras Tour, which will begin Friday night with the first of three gigs at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The tour's North American leg continues in New Orleans and Indianapolis before visiting Toronto and Vancouver in November and December. The last show is slated for December 8.

Swift also skipped Kelce's annual Kelce auto Jam over the weekend, a charity auto display benefiting his 87 and Running foundation, which assists impoverished youngsters in Kansas City and Cleveland.

There was still plenty of star power, with Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, attending Kelce's parents and brother, retired Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Swift's high-profile romance with Kelce began last season, when he asked her to watch him play against the Bears in September. Since then, the two have spent a lot of time together, frequently with cameras filming every step.

However, Swift has been out of the spotlight for the previous several weeks. That comes after a very memorable week in which she endorsed Kamala Harris for president, won seven MTV Video Music Awards, and attended the Chiefs' victory against the visiting Cincinnati Bengals.

Swift has become close friends with the Mahomes family in the last year.

That sparked some controversy when the 14-time Grammy winner revealed she supported Harris over Donald Trump in the November election; Trump had mentioned the quarterback's wife after she liked — and then disliked — a Republican presidential nominee's Instagram post.

Patrick Mahomes has refrained to support anyone in the election, instead encouraging people to register and vote.

'I don't want my position and platform to be utilized to endorse a candidate,' Mahomes stated. 'My role is to inform them about how to register to vote. It is to encourage people to conduct their own research and make the best option for themselves and their families.
