The third season of White Lotus, which will air next year, was recorded across Thailand, making the production a homecoming for LISA, who has previously expressed her pleasure about sharing the beauty of her hometown with fans.
LISA recently talked about her first thoughts on getting cast by Mike White, the creator of The White Lotus, whom she referred to as "a genius," in an interview with ELLE.
"I believe I sobbed [when I received the part]. I was with my pals, my mum's friends, and my mother, but I didn't tell them I auditioned for it," LISA said. "I'm quite excited and apprehensive because this is my first acting assignment. So I was delighted for a second, and then I was like, 'Oh, wait, how am I going to deliver this?'"

LISA, a BLACKPINK member, compared her acting experience to her work on music videos, stating, "It's pretty new to me, but I think it's similar to shooting music videos..."I am delighted for my followers to witness it."
She added that filming in Thailand allowed her to reconnect with her origins and eat Thai food every day. "I feel like people are going to fall in love with Thailand even more," she said.
LISA has continued to create waves in the music industry, in addition to her new television business. In 2024, she released her single "Rockstar," which debuted at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200, becoming LISA's first-ever No. 1 success on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. She's also released the Rosalía-assisted single "New Woman," and "Moonlit Floor."
BLACKPINK, which consists of LISA, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé, has reached unparalleled records. Their highest-charting Billboard Hot 100 entry, "Ice Cream" featuring Selena Gomez, peaked at No. 13. The trio made history in 2022 as the first female K-pop act to top the Billboard 200 with their album Born Pink, which also peaked at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart.
