Three people charged in connection to Liam Payne's death

Three individuals have been charged in connection with Liam Payne's death. Two of those people, a hotel employee and an accused drug dealer, have been charged with supplying the substances found in the late singer's system after he fell from a third-floor balcony in Buenos Aires last month. According to Rolling Stone, the third person is an Argentinian businessman who spent time with Payne in Buenos Aires. He has not been jailed, but he is accused with abandonment of a person followed by death.

La Nacíon, a Buenos Aires-based daily, said that Payne's pal fraudulently pretended to be the singer's manager. According to the report, this individual allegedly concealed Payne's drug relapse from his family and did not respond to police calls on the day of his death.

Andrés Madrea, the case's prosecutor, reported on Thursday that a toxicology study found Payne died with cocaine, alcohol, and a prescription antidepressant in his system. There was no mention of "pink cocaine" - a combination of MDMA, ketamine, and methamphetamine — which ABC News had previously claimed Payne was using.

On Wednesday, Payne's body was released to his family and flown back to the United Kingdom.
