The popular musician has a reputation as a frequent user of private jets. Throughout the year, she utilized her jet to go to various tour locations, visit her boyfriend (Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce), and fly back to her residences in Los Angeles and Nashville.
Her plane's most frequent stops were Nashville International Airport, Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport in Kansas City (where Kelce lives), and Hollywood Burbank Airport in Southern California.
Swift flies a Dassault Falcon 7x, a three-engine aircraft capable of flying more than 6,000 miles without refueling. This type is frequently utilized by persons who intend to fly long distances in their private planes. Swift frequently needs to fly long distances to attend her different tour appearances. The Falcon 7x can carry 12 to 16 passengers. The Falcon 7x also features a more spacious cabin than other similar models. Swift's plane is legally owned by Nashville-based holding firm Island plane Inc.
Swift's Eras tour, which began last year, propelled her to billionaire status. The concert tour became the first to generate more than $1 billion in revenue. Swift has won 14 Grammy Awards and achieved mainstream success on par with the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and her contemporary Beyoncé. The Tortured Poet's Department, released in April, was her thirteenth number one album on the Billboard charts.
Swift's usage of her own plane, however, has enraged climate activists, who argue that air travel contributes to environmental pollution. Swift's plane burned almost 80,000 gallons of gasoline this year, according to Simple Flying. Protestors spraypainted a private plane they mistook for Swift's in June to oppose her aviation travel.
Earlier this year, the singer was involved in another jet-related incident. Swift's attorneys issued a cease-and-desist order in February to the owner of social media accounts that followed her plane's flight route. Jack Sweeney, the college student who controlled the accounts, was banned from X in 2022 for disclosing Elon Musk's private plane data.
Sweeney and Swift's attorneys did not reply to requests for comment.
